Puncture \Punc"ture\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Punctured}; p. pr. &
   vb. n. {Puncturing}.]
   To pierce with a small, pointed instrument, or the like; to
   prick; to make a puncture in; as, to puncture the skin.
