Purblind \Pur"blind`\, a. [For pure-blind, i. e., wholly blind.

   1. Wholly blind. ``Purblind Argus, all eyes and no sight.''

   2. Nearsighted, or dim-sighted; seeing obscurely; as, a
      purblind eye; a purblind mole.
