Quarantine \Quar`an*tine"\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Quarantined};
   p. pr. & vb. n. {Quarantining}.]
   To compel to remain at a distance, or in a given place,
   without intercourse, when suspected of having contagious
   disease; to put under, or in, quarantine.
