Quicken tree \Quick"en tree`\ [Probably from quick, and first
   applied to the aspen or some tree with quivering leaves; cf.
   G. quickenbaum, quizenbaum, quitschenbaum. Cf. {Quitch

   The European rowan tree; -- called also {quickbeam}, and
