Rat-tailed \Rat"-tailed`\, a. (Zo["o]l.)
   Having a long, tapering tail like that of a rat.

   {Rat-tailed larva} (Zo["o]l.), the larva of a fly of the
      genus Eristalis. See {Eristalis}.

   {Rat-tailed serpent} (Zo["o]l.), the fer-de-lance.

   {Rat-tailed shrew} (Zo["o]l.), the musk shrew.
