Resupinate \Re*su"pi*nate\, a. [L. resupinatus, p. p. of
   resupinare to bend back. See {Resupine}.]
   Inverted in position; appearing to be upside down or
   reversed, as the flowers of the orchis and the leaves of some
   plants.
