Robe \Robe\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Robed}; p. pr. & vb. n.
   {Robing}.]
   To invest with a robe or robes; to dress; to array; as,
   fields robed with green.

         The sage Chaldeans robed in white appeared. --Pope.
