Sanidine \San"i*dine\, n. [Gr. ?. ?, a board. So called in
   allusion to the tabular crystals.] (Min.)
   A variety of orthoclase feldspar common in certain eruptive
   rocks, as trachyte; -- called also {glassy feldspar}.
