Scrawl \Scrawl\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Scrawled}; p. pr. & vb. n.
   {Scrawling}.] [Probably corrupted from scrabble.]
   To draw or mark awkwardly and irregularly; to write hastily
   and carelessly; to scratch; to scribble; as, to scrawl a
   letter.
