Scroyle \Scroyle\ (skroil), n. [Cf. OF. escrouselle a kind of
   vermin, escrouelles, pl., scrofula, F. ['e]crouelles, fr.
   (assumed) LL. scrofulae. See {Scrofula}, and cf. {Cruels}.]
   A mean fellow; a wretch. [Obs.] --hak.
