Shallop

Shallop \Shal"lop\, n. [F. chaloupe, probably from D. sloep. Cf.
   {Sloop}.] (Naut.)
   A boat.

   Note: The term shallop is applied to boats of all sizes, from
         a light canoe up to a large boat with masts and sails.
