Tammy \Tam"my\, n.; pl. {Tammies}.
   1. A kind of woolen, or woolen and cotton, cloth, often
      highly glazed, -- used for curtains, sieves, strainers,
      etc.

   2. A sieve, or strainer, made of this material; a tamis.
