Tempo \Tem"po\, n. [It., fr. L. tempus. See {Tense}, n.] (Mus.)
   The rate or degree of movement in time.

   {A tempo giusto} (j[=oo]s"t[-o]) [It.], in exact time; --
      sometimes, directing a return to strict time after a tempo
      rubato.
