Thump \Thump\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Thumped}; p. pr. & vb. n.
   {Thumping}.]
   To strike or beat with something thick or heavy, or so as to
   cause a dull sound.

         own land beaten, bobbed, and thumped.    --Shak.
