Parnassus \Par*nas"sus\, n. [L., fr. Gr. ?.] (Anc. Geog. & Gr.
   Myth.)
   A mountain in Greece, sacred to Apollo and the Muses, and
   famous for a temple of Apollo and for the Castalian spring.
