Turgent \Tur"gent\, a. [L. turgens, -entis, p. pr. of turgere to
   swell.]
   1. Rising into a tumor, or a puffy state; swelling; tumid;
      as, turgent humors.

   2. Inflated; bombastic; turgid; pompous.
