Venery \Ven"er*y\, n. [L. Venus, Veneris, the goddess of love.]
   Sexual love; sexual intercourse; coition.

         Contentment, without the pleasure of lawful venery, is
         continence; of unlawful, chastity.       --Grew.

   to hunt, L. venari. See {Venison}.]
   The art, act, or practice of hunting; the sports of the
