Volitive \Vol"i*tive\, a. [See {Volition}.]
   1. Of or pertaining to the will; originating in the will;
      having the power to will. ``They not only perfect the
      intellectual faculty, but the volitive.'' --Sir M. Hale.

   2. (Gram.) Used in expressing a wish or permission as,
      volitive proposition.
