Wappened \Wap"pened\, a. [Cf. {Waped}, {Wapper}.]
   A word of doubtful meaning used once by Shakespeare.

         This [gold] is it

         That makes the wappen'd widow wed again.

   Note: It is conjectured by some that it is an error for
         wappered, meaning tremulous or exhausted.
