Whimper \Whim"per\, v. i. [imp. & p. p. {Whimpered}; p. pr. &
   vb. n. {Whimpering}.] [Cf. Scot. whimmer, G. wimmern.]
   To cry with a low, whining, broken voice; to whine; to
   complain; as, a child whimpers.
