Aerolite \A"["e]r*o*lite\, n. [A["e]ro- + -lite: cf. F.
   a['e]rolithe.] (Meteor.)
   A stone, or metallic mass, which has fallen to the earth from
   distant space; a meteorite; a meteoric stone.

   Note: Some writers limit the word to stony meteorites.
