Aggrandizement \Ag*gran"dize*ment\ (?; 277), n. [Cf. F.
   agrandissement.]
   The act of aggrandizing, or the state of being aggrandized or
   exalted in power, rank, honor, or wealth; exaltation;
   enlargement; as, the emperor seeks only the aggrandizement of
   his own family.
