Antiphrasis \An*tiph"ra*sis\, n. [L., fr. Gr. ?, fr. ? to
   express by antithesis or negation.] (Rhet.)
   The use of words in a sense opposite to their proper meaning;
   as when a court of justice is called a court of vengeance.
