Aruspex \A*rus"pex\, n.; pl. {Aruspices}. [L. aruspex or
   haruspex.]
   One of the class of diviners among the Etruscans and Romans,
   who foretold events by the inspection of the entrails of
   victims offered on the altars of the gods.
