Catbird \Cat"bird\, n. (Zo["o]l.)
An American bird ({Galeoscoptes Carolinensis}), allied to the
mocking bird, and like it capable of imitating the notes of
other birds, but less perfectly. Its note resembles at times
the mewing of a cat.
