Chatoyant \Cha*toy"ant\, a. [F., p. pr. of chatoyer to be
   chatoyant, fr. chat cat.] (Min.)
   Having a changeable, varying luster, or color, like that of a
   changeable silk, or oa a cat's eye in the dark.
