Chondrin \Chon"drin\, n. [Gr. ? cartilage.] (Physiol. Chem.)
   A colorless, amorphous, nitrogenous substance, tasteless and
   odorless, formed from cartilaginous tissue by long-continued
   action of boiling water. It is similar to gelatin, and is a
   large ingredient of commercial gelatin.
