   Connecting, or adapted to connect; involving connection.

   That which connects. Specifically:
   (a) (Gram.) A word that connect words or sentences; a
       conjunction or preposition.
   (b) (Bot.) That part of an anther which connects its
       thec[ae], lobes, or cells.
