Consistent \Con*sist"ent\, a. [L. consistens, p. pr.: cf. F.
   consistant.]
   1. Possessing firmness or fixedness; firm; hard; solid.

            The humoral and consistent parts of the body.

      having harmony among its parts; possesing unity;

      contradictory.
