Dauber \Daub"er\, n.
   1. One who, or that which, daubs; especially, a coarse,
      unskillful painter.

   2. (Copperplate Print.) A pad or ball of rags, covered over
      with canvas, for inking plates; a dabber.

   3. A low and gross flatterer.

   4. (Zo["o]l.) The mud wasp; the mud dauber.
