Decisive \De*ci*sive\, a. [Cf. F. d['e]cisif. See {Decision}.]
   1. Having the power or quality of deciding a question or
      controversy; putting an end to contest or controversy;
      final; conclusive. ``A decisive, irrevocable doom.''
