Dioxide \Di*ox"ide\ (?; 104), n. [Pref. di- + oxide.] (Chem.)
   (a) An oxide containing two atoms of oxygen in each molecule;
       binoxide.
   (b) An oxide containing but one atom or equivalent of oxygen
       to two of a metal; a suboxide. [Obs.]
