Discomfiture \Dis*com"fi*ture\ (?; 135), n. [OF. desconfiture,
   F. d['e]confiture. See {Discomfort}, v. t., and cf.
   {Comfiture}.]
   The act of discomfiting, or the state of being discomfited;
   rout; overthrow; defeat; frustration; confusion and
   dejection.
