Domination \Dom`i*na"tion\, n. [F. domination, L. dominatio.]
   1. The act of dominating; exercise of power in ruling;
      dominion; supremacy; authority; often, arbitrary or
      insolent sway.

            In such a people, the haugtiness of domination
            combines with the spirit of freedom.  --Burke.

   2. A ruling party; a party in power. [R.] --Burke.

   3. pl. A high order of angels in the celestial hierarchy; --
      a meaning given by the schoolmen.
