Duodenum \Du`o*de"num\, n. [NL., fr. duodeni twelve each: cf. F.
   duodenum. So called because its length is about twelve
   fingers' breadth.] (Anat.)
   The part of the small intestines between the stomach and the

   {Digestive}.
