Elucidation \E*lu`ci*da"tion\, n. [Cf. F. ['e]lucidation.]
   A making clear; the act of elucidating or that which
   elucidates, as an explanation, an exposition, an
   illustration; as, one example may serve for further
   elucidation of the subject.
