Epiplexis \Ep`i*plex"is\, n. [L., reproof, fr. Gr. ?, fr. ? to
   strike at, reprove; 'epi` + ? to strike.] (Rhet.)
   A figure by which a person seeks to convince and move by an
   elegant kind of upbraiding.
