Forwardness \For"ward*ness\, n.
   The quality of being forward; cheerful readiness; promtness;
   as, the forwardness of Christians in propagating the gospel.

   2. An advanced stage of progress or of preparation;
      advancement; as, his measures were in great forwardness.
