Groats \Groats\, n. pl. [OE. grot, AS. gr[=a]tan; akin to Icel.
   grautr porridge, and to E. gritt, grout. See {Grout}.]
   Dried grain, as oats or wheat, hulled and broken or crushed;
   in high milling, cracked fragments of wheat larger than
   grits.
