Hearted \Heart"ed\, a.
   1. Having a heart; having (such) a heart (regarded as the
      seat of the affections, disposition, or character).

   2. Shaped like a heart; cordate. [R.] --Landor.

   3. Seated or laid up in the heart.

            I hate the Moor: my cause is hearted. --Shak.

   Note: This word is chiefly used in composition; as,
         hard-hearted, faint-hearted, kind-hearted,
         lion-hearted, stout-hearted, etc. Hence the nouns
         hard-heartedness, faint-heartedness, etc.
