Hearty \Heart"y\, a. [Compar. {Heartier}; superl. {Heartiest}.]
   1. Pertaining to, or proceeding from, the heart; warm;
      cordial; bold; zealous; sincere; willing; also, energetic;
      active; eager; as, a hearty welcome; hearty in supporting
      the government.
