Horripilation \Hor*rip`i*la"tion\, n. [L. horripilatio, fr.
   horripilare to bristle; horrere to bristle + pilus the hair:
   cf. F. horripilation.] (Med.)
   A real or fancied bristling of the hair of the head or body,
   resulting from disease, terror, chilliness, etc.
