   n. {Incising}.] [L. incisus, p. p. of incidere to incise: cf.
   F. inciser. See {Incide}.]
   1. To cut in or into with a sharp instrument; to carve; to
      engrave.

   2. To cut, gash, or wound with a sharp instrument; to cut
      off.
