Irresistible \Ir`re*sist"i*ble\, a. [Pref. ir- not + resistible:
   cf. F. irr['e]sistible.]
   That can not be successfully resisted or opposed; superior to
   opposition; resistless; overpowering; as, an irresistible
   attraction.
