Jaggery \Jag"ger*y\, n. [Hind j[=a]gr[=i]. Cf. {Sugar}.]
   Raw palm sugar, made in the East Indies by evaporating the
   fresh juice of several kinds of palm trees, but specifically
   that of the palmyra ({Borassus flabelliformis}). [Written
   also {jagghery}.]
