Levitate \Lev"i*tate\, v. t. (Spiritualism)
   To make buoyant; to cause to float in the air; as, to
   levitate a table. [Cant]

   -atis, lightness. See {Levity}.]
   To rise, or tend to rise, as if lighter than the surrounding
