Limpid \Lim"pid\ (-p[i^]d), a. [L. limpidus; akin to Gr.
   la`mpein to shine: cf. F. limpide. Cf. {Lamp}.]
   Characterized by clearness or transparency; clear; as, a
   limpid stream.

         Springs which were clear, fresh, and limpid.
