   ligusticum, a plant indigenous to Liguria, lovage, from
   Ligusticus Ligustine, Ligurian, Liguria a country of
   Cisalpine Gaul.] (Bot.)
   An umbelliferous plant ({Levisticum officinale}), sometimes
   used in medicine as an aromatic stimulant.
