Monoclinic \Mon`o*clin"ic\, a. [Mono- + Gr. ? to incline.]
   (Crystallog.)
   Having one oblique intersection; -- said of that system of
   crystallization in which the vertical axis is inclined to
   one, but at right angles to the other, lateral axis. See
