OEnanthol \[OE]*nan"thol\, n. [[oe]nanthylic + L. oleum oil.]
   (Chem.)
   An oily substance obtained by the distillation of castor oil,
   recognized as the aldehyde of [oe]nanthylic acid, and hence
   called also {[oe]nanthaldehyde}.
